Prepare College Application Process (Resume, Essays, College lists, Application, Supplements, Interview, etc)

1.: Build up Resume

Junior year is the most important period in high school. We will help the student to start building up his/her resume and recommend extra activities when needed.

2.: A, B, C College Lists

Once the resume is completed, we will establish A, B, and C college lists based on the student’s GPA, test scores, and activities. The A list represents dream schools, B indicates target schools, and C represents safety schools. The list will include both public and private schools.

3.: Start Essays

This is a 1:1 session with an experienced essay-writing teacher. They will start meeting once a week to discuss the topic for the Common Application, Coalition, UCAS, etc. As they meet once a week, the essay topic and content will be discussed thoroughly and be revised repeatedly.

4.: Recommendation Letter

We will discuss summer plans (test plans if not finished by now, internships, activities, etc.) after completion of junior year and decide on which teachers to request recommendation letters from.

5.: Start Online Application

In August, the online application will be open to the student. The student will start filling out the application with our staff. We will provide hands-on help and meet back and forth to fill out the application strategically and thoroughly.

6.: Finish Resume

Finalize the resume. Add additional activities and awards received. This resume should be ready by the beginning of the senior year so they can give it to teachers to ask for recommendation letters.

7.: Finish Up Application

Finish all college applications with our staff.
